Practice is Key

Doing something which doesn’t help us in growing forward always attracts our attention and it simply waste our precious time. The things which uplifts us always needs more effort and they aren’t really easy to achieve either.

The question is why does this happens? Why aren’t we programmed to be easy with thing which uplifts us and least attracted with things which push us downwards ? Well , it’s strange but the fact is that our true nature is to be easy with things which uplifts us but with time and again we have developed such habits which gets us more attracted with unwanted things. We have consciously or subconsciously been training our self to put our attention to things which aren’t doing any good for us.

My question is why would we ever do that? Again the answer was very different then what I could ever think. It’s our curiosity towards Maya and introduction of it by our Parents !!  Yes, exactly. Our brain is a super active part of our body which also works when we are sleeping, it keep on working, it keep accumulating memories from anything it come across. Because these memories are the reason we move forward . Like memory of eating, walking , talking etc make our life easy. But we gather other unnecessary things too. Because we fail to put right things to it’s memory box, it starts grabbing everything it sees on it’s way. Be it a memory from gossip, bad news, day dreaming, lies and many more. The concept is to keep feeding your brain all the time with memory because it survives due to memory. That’s why in our society we try to keep kids away from bad news / movies or other bad things so that their brains doesn’t get filled with negative memories.

Memories do not remain as a tiny memory in your brain, it grows gradually to and become part of our thought process and slowly gradually start effecting our maximum thinking process hence our precious time of life. This makes us more probe to go for such negative or downfall things. It is well breaded in our mind, it isn’t something we were born with neither something which happened over night. It is with everything we do for long time. It can always be taken care if we start pushing our self towards the productive habits or things, the process will be same as it changed from uplifting things to downfall things but with time and constant effort it will start changing towards better side.

Few tips which helps to give our brain a good uplifting memory could be : reading good books, watching or listening satsang, being around of people who speak more of truth, ambitious and focused, practicing yoga and meditation, trying to push our bar everyday a bit.Few things which we must avoid could be: try talking less, watching less tv shows, gossip, laziness. But remember daily practice of good memories / things is the key for success.
